Name: Gears

Gender: Male

Species: earth pony

Colors: rust-colored body, yellow colored spikey mane

Cutie mark: a bronze Cog with a silver wrench through it

Special talents: Technology and fixing it

Occupation: town mechanic and electronic consultant

Personality: kind of sarcastic, all-around strange pony if you're not friends with him. If you are, he's a pretty likable stallion, if you ignore his short temper and general stubbornness

He's a very strong pony... Though you wouldn't know it by his appetite, He tends to eat a lot, due to his job and the stress of being the only pony doing anything for him

Why is he in Ponyville?: he was sent there in order to help... "Modernize" Ponyville, which in of itself a hard task for one [edit:] however, that's only a half truth; he's really there with his wife Scarlet in order to start a new life with her

By "modernize", i mean "install electrical systems and other stuff like that".

Relationships with other ponies:
*Twilight: generally, she helps Gears whenever he needs it, whether he realizes he does or not... He does like annoying the hell out of her by making her question her "magic" [edit:] he does know when to listen to her
*Rainbow Dash: they hang out a lot when they don't have stuff to do. [edit:] He's also very supportive of her relationship with Fluttershy
*Fluttershy: Gears likes Fluttershy, as a friend. [edit] when he figured that she was in a relationship with Rainbow Dash, he was okay with it.
*Rarity: Gears just ADORES annoying the hell out of Rarity by showing up at the Carousel Boutique after completing a dirty job
*Applejack: Gears tries to show up applejack in strength contests, but ends up making himself look like a fool. [edit:] he also enjoys screwing with her about various things, such as her relationship with Caramel, her stubbornness, etc. He does care a lot about her, though
*Pinkie Pie: Gears is utterly perplexed by Pinkie and her strange behavior... But like with every other pony in Ponyville, chooses not to question it
*the CMC: Gears Really enjoys hanging out with Cutie Mark Crusaders
*Doctor Whooves: Gears has been dragged along on some of Doctor Whooves adventures... Whether he wanted to or not...

Some other random facts:
*not a big fan of magic, or "unexplained science", as he calls it
*big fan of music, genrally rock, alternative or dubstep (not country or pop, HE WILL HURT YOU IF YOU ATTEMPT TO PLAY EITHER GENRE NEAR HIM)
*he has a wife named Scarlet (voiced by Haley Williams)
